Description
The Body Iron Hyper Extension Roman Chair is a must have piece of equipment if you’re looking to elevate your core strength. It targets muscles in both your anterior and posterior chain while helping develop strength in your entire body, particularly your abdominals, obliques, lower back and glutes.
Featuring adjustable leg padding, this will allow you to train between a 0˚ to 45˚ angle adding to the overall versatility of the machine. By offering this range in angles it allows for individuals of all fitness levels to use the product. For beginners, the 45˚ angle is perfect to help you execute the correct form which will reduce the risk of injury and also increase strength gains. As you become more confident with the movement, you can reduce the angle of the padding for added difficulty to your workout.
Various angles can also be achieved on this machine to target different muscles in your body. Noting the adjustable leg padding, foot plate and ankle padding, these can all be fully adjusted to suit each individual user.
Target your glutes by positioning your feet wider on the plate with your toes slightly turned out. This will inflict a small inflexion on your spine to assist in glute activation and recruitment. Alternatively if you’d like to target more of your obliques, this can be achieved by laying one side and using your hand to support your head while you hinge up from the waist, focussing on the tension in your core and obliques.
